A TRUNK OR TREAT AT THE MOVIES will be held at Ivanhoe Cinema on Oct. 31.
“GRAVE TALES: A WALKING TOUR OF LIVE OAK CEMETERIES” will be held Oct. 31. Two tours will be held at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., led by Walterboro historian Elizabeth Laney. Participants should meet at the DeTreville entrance to the Walterboro Wildlife Sanctuary next to Live Oak Cemetery. Tours are free but limited to 15 persons. HALLOWEEN IN COTTAGEVILLE will be held with Trick or Treat night on Main Street on Oct. 31. The Cottageville Library is helping by collecting candy and Halloween Lollipop Ghosts to give away that night. Volunteers can help by coming to the library on Oct. 15, 22 and/or Oct. 29 (rain date) to help assemble the Lollipop Ghosts. Donations can be dropped off at the library before Halloween.
A TRUNK OR TREAT WILL BE HELD at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in the parking lot on Saturday Oct. 31 at 6:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Kruisin with the Knights of Columbus Council 8502 of Walterboro and Catholic Hill. COLLETON’S FEEDING PROGRAM has been approved by the USDA until Dec. 31. Meals are available on Fridays from 1-4 p.m. at the Colleton Museum Teaching Kitchen and from 3-4 p.m. at Bells, Cottageville and Hendersonville schools. On Saturdays meals are available for pickup from 10-11 a.m. at the three schools. Routes will be announced.
A SALE ON THE BOOKS “Hannah and Dexter: The First Meeting” and “Hannah and Dexter Go to the White House” for $5 each is being offered by Martina Publishing. The sale is going on until December 1, 2020 or until all of the books are sold out. The books are hardcover with a jacket and were written by Colleton County Memorial Library children’s librarian Shiela Martina and illustrated by two professional artists.
