The Colleton Prep Warhawks improved their record to 5-0 with a convincing 53-22 win over Andrew Jackson. The team scored early and often, leading 46-14 at halftime.

CPA scored 20 first quarter points and never looked back, eventually making touchdowns on seven of their eight possessions in the game.

Offensively, the team was led by Cale and Caleb Davis. Cole rushed for 214 yards on nine carries, and scored four touchdowns. Not to be outdone, Caleb rushed 147 yards on thirteen carries with three touchdowns.

The defense was led by Raleigh Obenaus with six tackles. Caden Crosby had three tackles and an interception. Dean Rushton contributed five and a half tackles, with an interception added by Riley Corelock.

“This was a good team win for us,” said head coach Greg Langdale. “Everyone contributed, and we got to play a lot of people. We did a good job of running to the football. We only attempted two passes the whole ball game.”

The Warhawks will now turn their attention to Spartanburg Christian Academy as they seek to continue their winning ways.

“Spartanburg Christian is a team that likes to line up and try to run the ball right at you,” Langdale explained. “They’re big in the power running game. It will be a challenge for our defense to slow them down. Defensively, they like to stack the box and bring pressure. This most definitely will be one of the biggest games of the year for us.

Game time will be 7:30 at Warhawk Field.

Colleton Prep Middle School won their game 30-14 on Thursday night against Thomas Heyward. With the win, they improved their record to 3-1. The middle school will play Holy Trinity at home Thursday night.
