Shooting Investigations: The Colleton County Sheriff's Office is investigating several serious incidents that occurred June 1, 2024 and June 2, 2024.
At approximately 11 PM the night of Saturday, June 1, 2024, the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting which resulted in an 8 year old juvenile in a motor vehicle suffering from life- threatening injuries. The juvenile was flown to an area Hospital for treatment and their condition is grave as of this morning.
Deputies also received a report of several shots being fired in the area of Ritter Road. Detectives processing the scene recovered over 100 spent casings. As of this morning, there are no reported victims from that shooting.
Additionally, an adult male was the victim of gunshot wounds while at Chase Lounge which is located on River Street near Hampton Street. This victim was also transported to a hospital and is in serious condition.
All incidents are actively under investigation by the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. We ask that anyone who may have information about either incident to contact the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office immediately.
