On October 1, Colleton Medical Center launched its newest telemedicine initiative with Advanced ICU Care, the nation’s leading provider of high-acuity telemedicine.
This launch comes at a critical time in which the hospital is still providing care for many COVID-19 patients in its ICU. The Advanced ICU Care program allows the Colleton Medical Center to provide care by highly trained intensivists and critical care physicians; something not previously available at the hospital.
“Advanced ICU Care is pleased to partner with Colleton Medical Center on the care of its most critically ill patients,” said Dr. S. Ram Srinivasan, chief medical officer of Advanced ICU Care. “Our board-certified critical care specialists are available around-the-clock to support the Colleton team in delivering expert care.”

Advanced ICU Care’s team of U.S. board-certified clinicians delivers high-acuity monitoring, clinical care and proven results to patients at approximately 100 hospitals in 26 states across the nation. The company has successfully implemented and managed more tele-ICU programs than any other organization and is well suited to address the high acuity care needs of both health systems and individual hospitals.
“Partnering with Advanced ICU Care allows Colleton Medical Center the opportunity to serve the community in a way that we have not been able to before. Having intensivists readily available to care for our most critical patients will promote better outcomes for both our patients and families,” said Lauren Schattle, RN, director of critical care.
“This launch of tele-ICU services stems from the Colleton Medical Center’s dedication to providing improved quality outcomes with consistent patient-centered care,” said Jamie Kabanuk, CNO.
