For The Press and Standard
On behalf of the Walterboro Civitans, let me congratulate the Rice Festival Committee on one of the better Rice Festivals in recent memory. The crowds were enormous and very receptive and there were so many activities going on. We, the Civitans, are especially grateful to the support from the community as sales from the “World’s Largest Pot of Rice” enable us to do many of the projects in the community that mean so much to everyone. While many of the Civitans worked on the project, we could not have been so successful without the help of the “Rice Planters”, a group of young people from Colleton County and are dedicated to making Colleton County a better place to live. Our Rice Planters are Rianna Bailey, Kayla Dantzler, Sidney Bailey, Jordan Slocum, Kaniah Ferguson, Chrissy Williams, Olivia Sumner, Blake Spears, Caden Griffith, Anne Hatcher White, and Cayson Warner. Thank you Walterboro and Colleton County.
