K9 Annie is an almost four-year-old black and tan Bloodhound certified in tracking. About three weeks ago, Deputy Leslie Lawson took over Annie’s leash and has been working with her every shift, focusing on tracking training as they prepare to certify together soon. On duty, Annie’s excitement is obvious the moment the long lead comes out, she’s happiest when her nose is on the ground and she’s leading the way. After a successful track, she loves giving hugs and soaking up plenty of affection.
Off duty, Annie enjoys long naps and spending time on her lead runner, where she can run and play with her favorite stuffed bass fish toy.
