The Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes visited the Cougar Den, December 3rd. Despite being in Cougar territory, the Swamp Foxes were able to net the win 61-30.
Coach Lindsay talked with Vernon Gilbert of The Press and Standard about the loss. He spoke on how the team had high energy, but they were just unable to execute like they wanted. “The team is coming along,” Lindsay states, He goes on to say despite the loss, the team has been playing good basketball. “There has been a lot of good guard play, and a lot of good big plays. Our expectations are to continue to grow per game and go from there. By the time we get to region play, we should be fine.”
Keyerah Koger #4 (SG) also weighed in on the game. Koger feels they had adecent game, but mentally they were not as focused as they needed to be, and it was “the little mistakes that cost us the game, but overall, we did good.”
Lillian Mitchell #2 (PG) shared her thoughts on the game also. She agreed with her teammate Keyerah Koger about the team not being entirely mentally engaged, but felt they played a decent game.
