The Colleton County Cougars have found early success in the basketball season winning their first two games by double digits. The Cougars defeated Andrew Jackson 63-43 and Lugoff-Elgin 61-42.
Against Lugoff-Elgin, the Cougars would jump out to a ten-point lead 17-7 after one period of play. They would still hold the lead 32-23 at halftime. Lugoff-Elgin would cut the lead to five, 40-35 to start the 4th quarter. The Cougars would outscore Lugoff-Elgin 21-7 to score a 61-42 win.
