The Colleton County Boys’ Basketball team dropped a pair of region games last week losing to James Island and Mae River.

James Island used a smoldering defense in the first quarter to create numerous turnovers in route to a seven-point lead in the first quarter. A lead they maintained throughout the game. The Cougars managed to cut the lead to three points on several occasions only to see the Trojans hold them off. The Rams would lead at half-time 34-25, by 47-37 at the end of three periods and held on for the final score of 62-49. The Cougars got 15 points from Mykeem Grant and 11 points each from Amauri Sanders and Demar Bodison.

The Cougars dropped their second region game of the week losing to Mae River 26-55. The Sharks outscored the Cougars by double digits in each quarter to capture the easy win. With the lost, the Cougars fell to 0-3 in the regions and 6-11 overall.
