Zenith Patricia Carpenter, 81, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest surrounded by family Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at her residence. Born November 11, 1941, in Jasper County, she was a daughter of the late Everette H. Dyal and Daisey Cleland Dyal. Zenith was a member of the First Assembly of God, and the past president of the Women’s Ministry. Mrs. Carpenter was a devout Christian who enjoyed listening to God’s word. She loved to spend quality time with both family and friends, whom she centered her life around. Surviving are her sons, David Anthony Carpenter and his wife Brenda of Kingsport, Tennessee, Rodger Kevin Carpenter and his wife Cyndi of Lexington; a brother, Wayne Dyal and his wife Annette of Walterboro; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Polk of Walterboro, Myra Elaine Robinson of Walterboro; grandchildren, Jonathan Harvey and his wife Laura of Nixville, Timmy Carpenter and his wife Bobijo of Round O, Laura Starks and her husband Joshua of Walterboro, Kyle Carpenter of Columbia, and Justin Carpenter of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Marie, Landen, Melanie, Katelyn, CJ, Chase, Cole, Julianna, Hunter, and Cailee. In addition to her parents, Zenith is preceded in death by her husband, Tony Harold Carpenter, two sons, Michael Ray Carpenter and Timothy Harold Carpenter; and two sisters, Sherby Jean Nix, and Katie Francis Ginn. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Crescent Hospice and thank them for their dedication to her care. Funeral services were held 2 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, November 11, 2023, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro, with Pastor Roger Quesenberry to officiate. Interment followed in Glendale Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends for a time of visitation from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock, Friday evening. Arrangements by: The Brice W.
