A camper used as a residence at Green Acres Campground was destroyed in an early morning fire Christmas day. Neighbors alerted 911 to the fire when they were awakened by the noise. Fire-Rescue arrived to find the camper fully involved with flames encroaching on the camper next to it. Crews quickly knocked down the fire which destroyed the camper and damaged the one next to it. No one was at home when the fire started and the neighbor was able to escape without injury. His is home was damaged by the heat and flames. The cause of the fire is suspicious in origin and is under investigation.
