A camper, used as a residence, suffered heavy damage in a late afternoon fire on Thursday, June 15 20:09. The incident occurred in the 2600 block of Sniders Hwy (SC Hwy 63), approximately one mile west of Walterboro. Engine 1 arrived to find the camper well involved. The camper suffered substantial damage. It appeared the fire may have spread from an unattended debris pile fire near the camper. No one was at home when the fire occurred.
