Black Cat Mercantile and Cool Cat Cones had its ribbon cutting on Thursday, May 7. Located on 324 East Washington Street, the meticulously renovated store owned by Kathleen and Jim Castle features an antique store with a wide variety of antiques and a hand dipped ice cream parlor. Kathleen Castle said, “It’s been so exciting to see so many people coming in to support us. We are so happy to be here in the small town of Walterboro and make it our home. Jim Castle added, “We are happy to be here, part of the community, and really happy with the way this building came out. It’s great.”
