The Fuller Center for Housing Adventure Bicycle Group was pedaling around Walterboro last Thursday. Dressed in bright orange t-shirts they were not out cycling for their health. They were here to help the community. The group is cycling from Tybee Island, Georgia to Portland, Maine stopping along the way to assist Fuller Center locations. The Colleton Fuller Center was one such stop. Approximately 35 cyclists and support drivers worked out in the community and at the ReUse store. They built a wheelchair ramp, power washed property, worked on o regrown landscaping, and made repairs to a house damaged by a tornado from 2020. At the ReUse store volunteers repaired the ceiling of the store, repainted the interior, and organized the book section. A mural was also painted on the fence outside the store.

The Fuller Center for Housing Adventure Group is made up of riders from all over the United States, England, and Africa. Their goal is to raise awareness on the need for affordable housing for low income families. Many of the volunteers will continue this journey until the end of June.
