Clawson Fargnoli, LLC, has announced Bert “Skip” Utsey has joined the law firm, alongside attorneys Sam Clawson Jr., and Christy Fargnoli. The firm will now be known as Clawson Fargnoli Utsey, LLC, with offices in Charleston and Walterboro.
Utsey, a Walterboro native, has more than 33 years of experience as a trial and appellate attorney.
He practiced as a defense attorney with a statewide firm in Charleston from 1987-2000 and as a plaintiff’s attorney with a multi-office firm in both Walterboro and Charleston from 2000-2020. Along with being a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Association for Justice, Utsey is also the president-elect of the South Carolina Association for Justice. Although he practices in all areas of personal injury law, Utsey mainly focuses on bad faith insurance actions, insurance coverage disputes, and medical malpractices.
