The Lowcountry African American Cultural Arts Festival presented “An Afrocentric American Cultural Arts Festival at the Colleton Civic Center. The Stage came alive on February 17 at 6pm. The show began with a Dance in honor of Harriett Tubman, an introduction, and a prayer. The Deninufay African Dancers and Drum Production from Charleston presented “The Sounds of
Africa” with several dance performances, even bringing members of the audience up to perform a dance with the group. After the performance there was a fashion show and door prizes.
