For fans of gyms, exercise and health, a new business located in the Planters Trace shopping center has opened its doors next to Clear Vision.
Vibrant Nutrition is a unique beverage bar offering specialty shakes and teas designed for the health conscious.
Owner Gwendolyn Givens and friend Dominique Mood are happy to prepare shakes and teas as meal replacements or energizers throughout the day.
“With 21 flavors, our shakes have 24-27 grams of protein and only 200-250 calories. They are low in sugar, low in carbs and high in fiber,” said Mood.
“Our specialty teas have 24 calories, no sugar and are made from green, black or oolong teas. They provide energy and metabolism boosts, mental alertness, clarity and are loaded with vitamin C, B6, B12, ginseng, guarana, aloe, and more,” she said.
Some of the teas do contain caffeine, but Mood says they can lower that for customers. “In a 32-ounce cup, there is the same amount of caffeine as two cups of coffee,” she said.
Vibrant Nutrition hopes to encourage people to come in for breakfast or lunch and have a healthy alternative to fattening breakfasts. They promise that the flavors taste exactly as advertised.
“We will be open from Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., and Friday 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Saturday we will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Specialty beverages run anywhere from $7 to $12,” said Givens.
Givens and Mood invite the public to come try them out and enjoy a new healthy lifestyle.
