Congratulations to June 15 Firefighter/Flight Paramedic Kayla Katt on successfully obtaining her Flight Paramedic Certification. Firefighter/FP-C Katt is assigned to Station 1 and CARE Flight on “B” shift. After her service in the Air Force Katt went to paramedic school. She is still serving in the Air National Guard. She worked in New Jersey and New York for a while. After graduating from paramedic school in 2019, Ms. Katt moved here. She worked for Charleston County, but then heard about Colleton County and what they offered and came to work here at Colleton County and has lived here for four years. Katt enjoys helping people, but she is a problem solver. She likes the idea of solving the puzzle; figuring out what is medically wrong and then working out how to fix what is wrong to help the patient.
Ms. Katt likes to go to the beach in her leisure time as well as spend time with her Irish Golden Setter and Black Labrador.
