Get to know #yourColletonFirefighter Connor Mull on #firefighterfriday. Firefighter-EMT Mull is assigned to the Station 1 Platoon on “B” shift. Here is more information on Firefighter-EMT Mull:

Connor was introduced to the fire service by his father who served as a captain with Charlotte Fire Department. At a young age, Connor would visit his father on duty. Looking at all the trucks and equipment together, Connor was amazed by the gold leaf, chrome, and red! He knew early on that he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father and one day become a firefighter. After graduating high school, he enrolled in college. He quickly found some extra time between classes and decided to walk into the nearest volunteer department, Due West Fire Department, and apply. They accepted Connor and showed him the ropes. He continued to balance college classes and volunteering with the department until he moved to the Charleston area to take a job with Mount Pleasant Fire Department. He spent five years at Mount Pleasant before setting off on a new journey at Colleton County Fire-Rescue. In 2021, he joined the team of #yourColletonFirefighters. Connor has worked different Platoon assignments over the years but has found a home on the Station 1 Platoon. Station 1 houses the rescue boats and one of two Heavy Rescues that Colleton operates. When asked what he likes most about his current assignment he said, “It’s got to be the boats, that’s why I am here!”

During his time off, Connor enjoys riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing, and boating.
