Savannah, Georgia native Rylee Hoeller has been named the 2023-24 Parker Neff Scholarship recipient.

“Rylee is not always the loudest person on the field. In fact, there are days that I do not hear him at all. However, this has had no bearing on his leadership ability,” Coach Jeremy Joye said. “Regardless of the situation, Rylee maintains a consistent calm demeanor and always strives to do what is best for the team, including taking on the additional role of relief pitcher this fall. As a sophomore, Rylee accepts the role of leader as he models desired work ethic and conduct for those around him.”

The Parker Neff Scholarship was established as an endowment by the Neff family to help keep Parker’s memory alive and thriving at USC Salkehatchie. The recipient is chosen based on a number of criteria, including work ethic both on the field and in the classroom, integrity, leadership qualities, and overall character.
