It seems that people are more confused today than I have ever seen before. Not only are individuals confused about who they are, but they are also confused about their purpose in life. People lack direction. So many in our world are languishing in their own fantasy of a life all about themselves. No wonder anxiety and depression are rising.
Jesus was not confused. He knew exactly who He was and what He was on earth to do. Jesus is the way. This is a great big sign for everyone who is lost, confused, or headed in the wrong direction. Go to Jesus. Repent of your sins and believe that Jesus is the Son of God who can forgive you of your sins.
Jesus is the truth. There are many lies and deceptions in this world. Even when we listen to the news, we wonder if we are being told the truth. We can trust Jesus. We can trust His Word. Read your Bible. The Bible will nourish your soul.
Jesus is the life. Jesus said “apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). In our rebellion, we try to find meaning without Jesus, and end up with a life all about ourselves. A self-centered life is empty and unsatisfying. Focus your life on pursuing Jesus and serving Jesus.
Finally, Jesus said that He was the only way to know the Father. There are no other roads to God. Other faiths, religions, beliefs do not work and will not save you. Will you ask Jesus to save your soul and be your God today?
