“The Hoppers” Delight at Bedon Baptist

Posted

Music filled the newly renovated sanctuary at Beadon Baptist Church on Saturday, March 7th. The room was filled to capacity as The Hoppers, a southern gospel group entertained and inspired the crowd with their music and witness. The multi-generational group was formed in 1957, in the rural-farm town of Madison, NC, and has grown continuously for decades, touching countless lives around the world. The Hoppers sang traditional as well as original songs for the appreciative audience.

The group was introduced by Beadon Baptist Pastor Nick Fox. Pastor Fox recently placed 2nd in The Press and Standard Best of Walterboro. Fox said, “I want to say thank you to everyone who voted for me. If not for God then I would not be here today. All Glory goes to Him! It is an honor and privilege to Pastor the best Church and people in Colleton County at Bedon Baptist Church. Thank you for your trust and confidence in me. With God we will continue on this journey. Come visit and see what God is doing in our Church and lives.”

In addition to the Hoppers, the community has had a number of concerts over the past couple of weeks with the Colleton Civic Center being host to “The Legends of Prime Country” and Jason Lee Cook bringing his music to the stage. Bessie Bates and Friends will return the Civic Center on March 14.
