Freshman Connelly Smith has been named Second Team All-Region 10 for her outstanding performance on the volleyball court during the 2023 season.
“Connelly dominated the front row for us, pulling in 184 kills, 70 solo blocks and 12 aces. She earned our team a whopping 278 points for the season,” Coach Dani Aquino said. “She is also a natural leader. She has a spark about her that always brings the team up even when we›re down.”
One of the best players in Region 10, Smith ranked second overall in blocks per set (1.19) and fourth in kills per set (2.33) and hitting percentage (.229).
“Receiving this award means so much to me,” Smith said. “It is such a privilege to be able to stand next to some amazing volleyball players and know that I can hang with them.”
