Lowcountry Native Launches Campaign Focused on Unity, Economic Growth, Education, and Transparent Leadership

Beaufort, SC – Shannon DeLoach officially announced his candidacy for the South Carolina House of Representatives, District 121, pledging to bring compassionate leadership, practical solutions, and a renewed spirit of unity to Columbia.

A proud South Carolinian and son of the Lowcountry, DeLoach was born in Beaufort, raised in Colleton County, and shaped by the values of faith, family, and community service. As a small-business owner, husband, father, and servant leader, he has dedicated his life to supporting families during some of their most difficult moments—an experience he says has prepared him to serve the broader needs of District 121.

“I’m running because I believe in the power of compassion, the promise of community, and the potential of the people who call this place home,” DeLoach said during his announcement.

A People-First Platform

Better Schools – Ensuring every child has access to a world-class education.

Stronger Economy – Supporting small businesses, fair wages, and workforce advancement.

Modern Infrastructure – Investing in safe roads, reliable utilities, high-speed broadband, and updated public facilities.

Accessible Healthcare & Workforce Opportunity – Expanding pathways to affordable healthcare and meaningful careers.

Transparent & Accountable Government – Promoting honesty, accessibility, and accountability in public service.

Protecting the Lowcountry – Preserving the region’s land, water, and heritage for future generations.

“These priorities aren’t red or blue—they’re about people,” DeLoach emphasized.

A Call for Unity

Central to DeLoach’s message is a commitment to bridging divides and fostering collaboration across political lines. He spoke passionately about the strength of Lowcountry communities, especially in times of crisis, when neighbors come together regardless of party affiliation.

“Unity is not the absence of differences—it’s the presence of respect,” DeLoach stated. “What unites us will always be stronger than what divides us.”

DeLoach framed his campaign as a movement grounded in partnership, civic engagement, and shared purpose, calling on residents to rise above partisanship and work collectively for the future of South Carolina.

Looking Ahead

DeLoach concluded his announcement by asking for the support, partnership, and prayers of District 121 residents.

“I’m not running to make headlines—I’m running to make a difference. I’m not running to be served—I’m running to serve,” he said.

Shannon DeLoach’s campaign will host a series of community listening sessions and grassroots events throughout District 121 in the coming weeks.
