The December meeting of the P.E.P. (People Enjoying People) Club was a happy occasion with all members having the Christmas spirit. Seven complete turkey dinners were given out with the door prizes. The four local organizations to receive $100.00 from the P.E.P. Club this year were Colleton County Animal Shelter, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, In His Name-Colleton, and Colleton County Middle School for hygiene products.
Marlene Williamon who collected Christmas cards for veterans exceeded her goal this year. In the three years she has gathered cards, she has collected and donated over 10,000 Christmas cards all with a personal handwritten message inside for every branch of our American military service personnel. She wishes to thank each one that donated cards and the ones that helped sign each one.
