A motorcyclist was critically injured when he collided with a deer on Round O Rd. near Freeman Lane April 12th. A motorist drove up on the accident, finding the driver unconscious in the middle of the road. The cyclist was not wearing a helmet and suffered multiple traumatic injuries. The deer did not survive the collision. Colleton County Firefighter-Paramedics treated the man on the scene and transported him to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
