Dear Editor
Who on earth decided which homes and businesses in Walterboro did not need or deserve access from Jefferies Boulevard? We do not imagine anyone would admit to this asinine idea. Now some areas are being ·re-done· but It is ridiculous that it has to be this way. So much money and time has been wasted So many more deserving projects could have been accomplished. We would like to know who to thank for this mess - please fess up! Who can we complain to who might actually listen and do better in the future? Is the state to blame - or the highway department - or the city? In the future, maybe plans could be made public ahead of time Public input would not have been a bad thing - it certainly could not have made it worse!
