In case you missed the news cast on CNN, Cuba is experiencing rolling black outs for 25% of the country. Socialism/Communism is still a failed system of government. It has been over 50 years since Fidel Castro welcomed Russia to help control their country. During those years, infrastructure has been overlooked due to lack of funds and leadership. Recent developments show Cuba has lost 25% of its population in the past four years as residents flee to America and other countries. Socialism has always been a failure despite liberal indoctrination and propaganda.
Further proof is found in the current financial failings in Argentina. Once one of the strongest countries in South America, it now has serious problems. Like Cuba, Argentina has allowed Russia to influence their government and troubles followed. President Trump had the President of Argentina visit the White House and he agreed to buy 20 billion pesos to help stabilize their financial problems.
History has proved Socialism/Communism is a failed ideology and system of government. As you recall President Reagan demanded that Russia tear down the Berlin Wall between East and West Germany. I was in the Army and stationed in Germany when the wall was built in the early sixties. It was not built to prevent people from entering East Germany; IT WAS BUILT TO KEEP EAST GERMAN RESIDENTS FROM FLEEING TO WEST GERMANY.
During the gold rush of 1848, Forty-Niner prospectors rushed to California to seek their fortune. In fact, most of these prospectors found only Fools Gold. The most successful money makers were the men who were capitalists. They built businesses that furnished supplies to the thousands of prospectors. Two of those businesses, Levi Strauss and Wells Fargo are still around today.
As you look at the Socialist/Communist candidate that is leading in the race for Mayor of New York City, you must wonder how and why? Are New Yorkers ignorant of history and current events, or are they just blinded by the promise of FREE STUFF or modern-day Fools’ Gold.
