Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home

Lauren Danielle Drawdy passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 with her devoted father beside her, in a tragic hunting accident in Walterboro. She was 9.

Lauren, or "Lolo" as she was also lovingly known as, was born in Walterboro July 24, 2010 a daughter of Mary Katina Bowers, and the late Kim Daniel Drawdy. She was a fourth grade student at Cottageville Elementary School, where she had just made the honor roll.  She was a cheerleader with "Champions in Motion" for over two years…a pastime she totally enjoyed.  Lauren truly loved spending time outdoors with her father hunting and fishing, and riding four wheelers and her dirt bike.  She was so proud of harvesting her first deer in late October.  She was a beautiful child with a kind and loving heart who was adored by her family and friends.  She will truly be missed, and she is in the arms of Jesus now.

In addition to her mother Mary and her step-father Jordan Brovon, she is survived by her sister Kylie Drawdy. She leaves behind her paternal grandmother Grace Hopkins Werts, her paternal step-grandfather Ricky "PaPa" Snedeker, and her maternal grandmother Laurie Hoff.  There are two uncles and two aunts that were very special to her…Kevin Drawdy, Brian Hoff, Lynn Judd, and Rita Gilmore.  There is a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, friends and schoolmates she leaves behind.  She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Ben Cleonard Drawdy, and by her maternal grandfather Lawrence Bowers.

Funeral services for Lauren, as well as for those of her devoted father Kim, will be held Thursday morning, January 9, 2019 at 11:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
