Hillcrest Apartments was the scene of a shooting on Sunday December 3. An adult male was injured in the shooting which took place and at least one apartment was hit by several rounds and the patient received what is believed to have been a glancing hit to the head. Firefighter-Paramedics and Law Enforcement Officers from the City of Walterboro, Sheriff’s Office and Highway Patrol arrived to find the man’s bleeding was controlled at the scene. Due to the armed suspects still being at large in the area, the patient was transported from the scene by Fire-Rescue Medic 1 to Colleton Medical Center. Law Enforcement Officers searched the area for several hours.
