A high-speed single vehicle crash on Round O Road severely injured an adult male driver, Friday evening, November 22nd. The south bound Honda Accord left the roadway and struck a tree causing heavy damage to the vehicle. The car overturned trapping the unrestrained driver. The driver, who was the only occupant, received multiple trauma injuries. Colleton County Firefighter-Paramedics used multiple hand tools to extricate the man. The patient was treated at the scene and transported by CARE Flight to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
