Herndon receives Certificate of Achievement

Who knew so much could happen in a year.

Over the past 12 months, I’ve been part of the Lowcountry Executive Director Leadership Program. Today I finished the final session and received my certificate.

This past year held A LOT…learning, growth, challenges, changes, and plenty of reflection about leadership and the work we do in our community. I’m grateful for the conversations, the new perspectives, and the opportunity to grow alongside other nonprofit leaders.

Every lesson learned helps me lead better and serve our community through In His Name - Colleton in a stronger, more thoughtful way.

Leadership is never something you “arrive” at…it’s something you keep learning and growing in. I’m thankful for this experience and for the people who poured into us throughout the program, as well as my village who helps keep up with my kiddos, my husband for his constant support, and my board and staff for always encouraging me along the way.

If you’re a nonprofit leader in the Lowcountry, I definitely recommend checking out the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry’s Executive Director Leadership Program. It was a really meaningful experience.
