The January 31st USC Salkehatchie home game featured students in the Colleton County School District who take part in the new elementary school sports league. Recognized were basketball teams and cheerleading squads at the beginning of the game and had their pictures taken with the USC Salkehatchie men’s and women’s basketball. After the group photo was taken the kids went to the stands to watch the game. The cheerleading squads stepped it up performing their cheers flawlessly encouraging the USC men to play their best. The CCMS cheerleading squad also joined the action. At half time, some of the basketball players participated in a three-point shoot-out which ended up in a tie between two participants. The kids made the game loud and fun in all the best ways, setting the backdrop for a fast-paced game.
