Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
Town Council is pleased to announce that for the second consecutive year, the Town of Edisto Beach has received the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the 2025-26 Fiscal Year. This award represents the continued commitment of Town Council, the Town Administrator, and Town staff to adhere to the highest principles of governmental budgeting.
Along with this achievement, the Town continues to make available to our residents and others the Digital Budget Book on our website. This digital resource covers all aspects of the Town’s annual, as well as historical, budgets.
Update on Town Projects
Emergency Operations Center/Town Hall: The construction for the Emergency Operations Center/Town Hall is progressing and on schedule, with an anticipated completion date of March 2026.
Oath of Office for Newly Elected Council Members
Bob Renner and Jay Watts were re- elected to the Town Council, and the Oath of Office was administered to both individuals at the November 13 Town Council meeting by Municipal Judge Tom Hart III.
Both Mr. Renner and Mr. Watts will serve four-year terms.
