The S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) partnering with USC Salkehatchie has launched two new Connection Points at USC Salk campuses in Allendale and Walterboro!
USC Salkehatchie Dean April Cone and DEW Executive Director William Floyd cut the ceremonial ribbon at the grand opening, attended by DEW representatives, USC leadership, and members of the student body.
Director Floyd was honored to join Dean Cone, Chancellor of Palmetto College Craig Wilson, and Student Government Association President J-Dan Shaw at the podium to share the importance of Connection Points and making workforce resources accessible to all corners of the state, including South Carolina’s thriving rural communities.
Organizations wanting to follow USC Salkehatchie’s example and start a Connection Point computer lab at their location can get started by visiting dew.sc.gov/connectionpoints, while jobseekers can easily find their nearest Connection Point at scworks.org/centers.
Congratulations to USC Salkehatchie on the grand opening of two new Connection Points in South Carolina and on helping students and our local communities thrive in the workforce.
