DEAR ROCKI: New Year – New you?

Posted

Happy New Year. I look forward in spending 2023 with you. What is in store for 2023 is all up to us. What we make of each day. How we see others around us. Around 38 percent of people have made resolutions. While others are more focused on a day-to-day basis. However, you feel about a new year ahead have you thought about what you want to be new? A fresh look; hair style? Wardrobe? Updated look or decor in your home? Or you are just wanting a change in your life?

Be it a job, lifestyle, or a change within yourself. Each new year offers an exciting opportunity for a fresh start and new beginnings. Which is why we all look forward to New Year’s Eve so much. No matter what your goals are for the coming year or how many new year’s resolutions you plan on making for 2023, ringing in the start of a new year is a moment to acknowledge. One: to celebrate all your experiences from 2022; and two: to welcome the new year ahead and its new experiences. I found interesting and fun quotes to begin this new year with and wanted to share them with you.

“Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties.” —Helen Keller

“The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide you’re not going to stay where you are.” —J.P. Morgan

“Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365-page book. Write a good one.” —Brad Paisley

“I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.” —Thomas Jefferson

“Never underestimate the power you have to take your life in a new direction.” ―Germany Kent

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You are doing things you've never done before, and more importantly; you're doing something.” —Neil Gaiman

Cheers to a gracious new year. May we uphold the fullness of God’s grace, goodness, and goodwill.”
