The crime report in last week’s edition of The Press and Standard should have said:
On Nov. 21, Roses employees reported watching a man pushing a buggy holding a television and other items, then walking out the door and leaving.
Walterboro police officers found the suspect and brought him back to the store with the merchandise. The man said he took the items as a joke and yelled “deuces” as he was running.
He was arrested and taken to jail.
The Press apologizes for the error and is happy to set the record straight.
