Colleton Prep Academy hosted the fifth IP Builders Holiday Tournament last week from Dec. 27 through Dec. 30th. Over 20 teams from around the Lowcountry participated in the four day event.
Bethesada Academy would win the varsity boys gold division with a 66-59 win over Charleston Collegiate.
Calhoun Academy would win the bronze division with a 55-50 win over Florence Christian Academy 55-50.
Thomas Heyward Academy would win the silver division with a 44-39 decision over Savannah Classical Academy.
Orangeburg Prep girls would win their third straight IP Builders Basketball Tournament by defeating Florence Christian Academy 52-46.
Charleston Collegiate girls would win the silver bracket over Beaufort Academy 40-26.
Colleton Prep boys would go 1-2 in the tournament defeating Jefferson Davis 58-55 while dropping games to Charleston Collegiate 77-56 and to Thomas Heyward 39-29.
The Colleton Prep girls would go 1-2 in the tournament defeating Jefferson Davis 54-13 while losing to Florence Christian 38-36 and Hilton Head Prep 43-39.
Colleton Preps’ Wylan Sheffield and Sidney Bailey were named to the All Tournament team in the 2023 I.P. Builders Basketball Tournament
