Colleton County’s softball players, Shandi Brown and Bailey Cox were recently named to the first team all Lowcountry softball team that was released by the Post and Courier. In addition to Brown and Cox being recognized, teammate Jordan Slocum received honorable mention status. These three young ladies were mainstays on an outstanding season that the Cougars had this past year. The Cougars finished the year with a 26-4 overall record, a 9-1 region record and a region championship.
“All three of these girls had an outstanding season on the softball field and were valuable pieces in our success this past year. This is an honor that all three girls deserved based on their performances this past year,” said Cougar Assistant Coach Rusty Adams.
Nasir Pencile received honorable mention status in boys track while Makayla Chisolm received honorable mention status in girl’s track.
