The Colleton County Memorial Library held its Big Top Resource Fair, on July 19th. Organizations from around the community came together on the lawn of the library to give an opportunity to connect with Lowcountry agencies to give residents a chance to see what resources are available. They even had a bounce house and a food truck.
Makayla Pope the Adult Social Services Coordinator for the Library says, “We put together the resource fair to draw in families. We have foot traffic due to summer reading happening at the same time. We’ve had a lot of families and great programming going on for both adults and children. We wanted to take that opportunity to draw more people out here and let people know about the wonderful opportunities we have available in the area. There are so many people who could benefit from the services that don’t even know they exist.”
