Clemson Club Awards Scholarships

The Colleton County Clemson Club is pleased to announce scholarship recipients, selected by Clemson University, for the 2025-2026 academic year:

Raleigh J. Obenaus is the son of Cindy Newman and Holger Obenaus. Raleigh is a graduate of Colleton Preparatory Academy and is a Clemson University sophomore with an Economic Bachelor of Arts major and a double minor in Spanish and Artificial Intelligence. Raleigh is a member of Phi Gamma Delta, Clemson Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Life, Clemson Economics and Clemson Spanish Clubs. He plans to graduate in 2028.

In partnership with the Walterboro Civitan Club, recipients of the Dr. L. Michael Padgett Memorial Scholarship are:

Kaylee C. Spears is the daughter of Amy and Charlie Spears. Kaylee is a graduate of Colleton Preparatory Academy and is a Graphic Communication major with a Business Administration minor at Clemson University. Kaylee is member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and plans to graduate in 2026.

Westcoat M. Brown is the son of Grace Ann and Carl Brown. He is a Construction Science and Management major at Clemson University. West is graduate of Colleton Preparatory Academy. At Clemson, West is a member of the Clemson University Constructors’ Guild and CU Associated Contractors. He is also a South Carolina Ducks Unlimited member. West plans to graduate in 2026 and work with Frampton Construction.

The Colleton County Clemson Club, a local arm of the Clemson Alumni Association, provides support to local students with scholarships to Clemson University. Scholarships are made possible by donations from Colleton County Clemson alumni, fans and family.
