The Colleton County baseball team managed to salvage one game during the week.
In that sole victory, the Cougars would defeat R.B Stall High School, 21-0
The Cougars got three strong innings of pitching from Gabe Wolf, who stuck out six. Offensively, Cam Farnsworth led with two hits, while Julian Snelgrove, Cohen Crosby, and Brinton Jirel each collected two RBIs apiece.
However, Cougar fortunes turned against them in a doubleheader against the Hilton Head Island High School Seahawks.
In the first game, the Seahawks scored two early runs and would go on to add more runs in the latter innings.
Although the Cougars had a chance to get back in the game in the second inning when they loaded the bases, the best they could manage was a single run when J.C. Poe would force in the only run of the game for the Cougars. The final score was 10-1.
In the second game, not a single Cougar managed to get a hit, and from the very start the Seahawks scored consistently to win the second game, 10-0.
With the two loses, the Cougars record now stands at 5-7.
