The Carolina Sporting Dog Association invites you to their annual banquet on Saturday, August 6, 2022. This event will be held in the East Clarendon High School gym. Doors open at 4:30 and the banquet will begin at 5:00 PM.
Hunting with sporting dogs of all kinds is a popular pastime for many residents of Colleton County. It is imperative for areas where these activities are widely enjoyed to show participation at events such as this banquet.
“This is a family-friendly event,” Benjamin Caskey says. “It will be very similar in format to other waterfowl and wildlife banquets you may have attended, but alcohol will not be served.”
Guests will enjoy live music and dinner courtesy of the Bamberg area’s Buzzy Bunch. There will be prize giveaways for children of all ages, and the opportunity for adults to win Garmin equipment, guided hunting trips, coolers, firearms, and more. Note that due to the nature of the venue, firearms being offered as raffle prizes will not be physically present at the event.
Attendees will also hear from guest speakers regarding various topics pertaining to hunting with dogs in South Carolina. Participation by those involved in any type of sporting dog activity is encouraged.
“We’ve invited a number of legislative officials and DNR personnel,” Caskey says. “It’s important that we present a united front so that they understand how much we truly care about these sports. We also want to show how active youth are in the various sectors of dog hunting.”
Funds generated from the event will go toward various charities, lobbyists, and helping the association to continue fighting for the rights of sporting dog enthusiasts in all areas of South Carolina.
Tickets are on sale throughout the state. Individual tickets can be purchased for $50 or sponsor tables are available for $500. Sponsor tables include 8 tickets. Each ticket includes dinner.
