Buying the elephant in the room

Posted

The P.E.P. Club (People Enjoying People) had its annual White Elephant Sale at the September meeting. Money made from this sale along with membership dues and other monies will be given to local organizations in December.

October will be the annual picnic with burgers and hot dogs and all the condiments, and a costume contest. Those that choose to dress up for Halloween will be judged on their costume by those that do not dress up. The best costume gets a Halloween bucket of goodies. The P.E.P. Club is a senior club for anyone over 50 and meets the last Tuesday of the month at the Recreation Center in the Industrial Area at 12:00 pm. Lunch is served and a program is presented. Bingo is played ($1.00 a card) if you so desire. The winner gets half the pot, and the other half goes into the club account for the December give aways. Your first visit is free, and if you join, membership dues are $5.00 a year.
