Blood drive held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

Posted

The last blood drive of the year at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church had a very low turnout with only 39 possible donors coming in and 36 pints of blood collected. Those that came in were: Michael Kuszmaul, Tyler Muckenfuss, Fran Mack, Cheryl Clayton, Bucky McCormack, Mitchell Bennett, Stacy Thomas, Eva Franklin, Gary Hermann, Rebecca Foster, Gwendolyn Colleton, Vicki Syfrett, Bill Weeks, David Dukes, Blaine Fender, Jack Jones, Thomas Whitacre, Barbara Hawkins, Diane Wicker, Andi Stewart, Marilyn Peters, Sonya Manigo, Summer White, Dr. Riddick Ackerman III, Ricky Crosby, Evelyn Freeman, Steve Blake, James Kinsey, P.A. Pournelle, Celese Stone, Michaela Mortimer, Perry Ramsey, Dana Ramsey, Terry Pournelle, Crystal DeLonge, Michael DeLonge, Dennis Schmaltz, Sarah Ferguson, and Norma Weeks.

At the end of the year, I would like to thank everyone that makes the blood drives possible. First, I thank the beautiful Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for giving us a place to have our blood drives. Then the faithful blood donors which makes it all possible. I thank Ada Bentley and Susan Harrison who work the canteen and make appointments for the next blood drive. Thank you, Kevin Wicker, for putting out the signs before the blood drive and taking them up after it is over. And a very big thank you to Andi Stewart who comes all the way from Bluffton to help me at the computer getting everyone checked in. We are all volunteers and make no money from doing this.

The next blood drive at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will be January 12, 2026. If you have never donated before, this is an excellent time to start the year off right.
