The September 14th blood drive at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church had 39 donors attend and collected 43 pints of blood. The reason for more pints than donors is that when someone donates double red on the Alyx machine, it counts as two pints. That donor must skip the next blood drive.
Those that came in were: Patricia Williams, Mike Kuszmaul, Fran Mack, Mitchell Bennett, Ian Saunders, Bobby Rhode (16 gallons), Leon Brown, Mary Jo Fox, Rebecca Foster, Mary Childers, Linda Gilgen, Stacy Thomas, Willie Dobison, Sarah Judy, Gary Hermann, Sandra Hiott, DebbieRast, Jessie Maloney, Blaine Fender (2 gallons), Barbara Hawkins, Susan Bennett, James Floyd, Thomas Whitacre, Diane Wicker, David Dukes, Sheila Smoak, Ricky Pye, Evelyn Freeman, Sherry Murdoch, James Brown, Jinky Bequilla, Mark Angelo, Celeste Stone, P.A. Pournelle, Terry Pournelle, Mark Heckler, Charles Russ, James Kinsey, and Norma Weeks.
The next blood drive at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will be on November 09. For information, call Colleton County Blood Drive Coordinator Norma Weeks at 843-538-8950.
