The Walterboro Band Classic continued a tradition started in 1977. Under the threat of rain, the longest running band competition in South Carolina hosted bands from South Carolina and Georgia presenting their shows. The Band of Blue was the host band and final performance of the night presenting this year marching show, “Happiness”. This year the top award and overall highest score was present to the Effingham County Rebel Regiment. The band of Blue will be competing this weekend, October 5th, at the 43rd Annual Coastal Empire Band Classic in Springfield GA.
