Ashante Green, 30, of Adams Run was arrested on April 5 in connection with the death of a Walterboro woman in early March.

Green appeared in Charleston County bond court on charges of murder and possession of a weapon in the commission of a violent crime. He had a $50,000 bond set on the weapons charge and was ordered held without bond the murder charge. He will have to appear before a circuit court judge to have bond set on the murder charge.

Green was served the arrest warrants at the Charleston County Detention Center, where he has been detained since being arrested on March 6, the same day the body of Elizabeth D. Germany, 41, of Walterboro was found on Parker’s Ferry Road in Adams Run.

Charleston County deputies were called to Parker’s Ferry Road on shortly before noon on March 6 after a body was found on the side of dirt road in Adams Run.

A man out looking for his dog told deputies that he found the body close to the entrance of Miller’s Boat Landing.

Deputies arriving on the scene determined that the adult female had been shot.

Approximately a week after the body was discovered, the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office announced that the death was being investigated as a homicide.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office later identified Germany as the victim. A gunshot wound had claimed her life.

Green was reportedly Germany’s ex-boyfriend.

On March 6, Green was arrested on charges of unlawful carrying of a pistol, reckless driving, possession of marijuana, driving while under suspension and having an open container of alcohol in his motor vehicle following a traffic stop in the area where Germany’s body had been found.

In bond court, he had bond set at $100,000 on that weapons charge.

On March 20, Green was issued two more arrest warrants for probation violations. A trip to bond court resulted in an additional $75,000 bond being set.
