An adult female was injured in a single vehicle high speed MVC in the 5300 block of Charleston Hwy (SC Hwy 64) Sunday mid-morning June 7th. The westbound Buick Enclave failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway. The car struck a driveway culvert and became airborne. The car struck a power pole breaking it in half before flipping over. The small car landed upright on the westbound shoulder. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was able to exit the vehicle on her own. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the woman at the scene, then transported her to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston in Fire-Rescue Medic 19. The accident is being investigated by the SC Highway Patrol. Power was out in the Mashawville area for several hours.
