Hilton Head Island, SC – Community Foundation of the Lowcountry (CFL) is excited to announce that tickets are now available for its Annual Community Meeting!
The free event will take place on March 29, 2023 from 4:30-6:30 pm at Hilton Head’s Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. While the event is free, tickets are required. The only place to get tickets is by calling the Arts Center Box Office at 843-842-2787, Mon-Fri from 10:00 am-4:00 pm.
The Annual Community Meeting will highlight CFL’s recent work and focus on the committed partnerships the Foundation has developed over the years with local nonprofits and donors. CFL is extremely honored to have WSAV-TV Investigative Reporter Andrew Davis as the Emcee.
With affordable workforce housing being a top priority in the Lowcountry, it is very fitting that the event’s keynote speaker will be Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International. Jonathan’s speech will be followed by a Q&A with CFL President and CEO Scott Wierman.
CFL is very excited to be presenting the inaugural Joan and Wade Webster Community Impact Award, which will be awarded to a resident of CFL’s four-county (Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper) service area. The award recipient has made a significant impact on the quality of life in the Lowcountry and demonstrated visionary leadership in a community activity or on behalf of a charitable organization. The award winner will receive a $10,000 grant to bestow to a charitable organization or organizations based in CFL’s service territory.
Another sure-to-be highlight from the program is a presentation by Women in Philanthropy Chair Lesley Gilbert. Women in Philanthropy, a fund created by CFL with 150 members, is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year and has granted approximately $800,000 to local nonprofit organizations.
A reception will follow at the Arts Center immediately following the Annual Community Meeting program.
